There was a reason I deliberately went with a health (fuzoku massage parlor) shop in Tokyo this time. I'd been on an esthetic-style run lately, so I wanted a change of genre for once. Love Boat is a health shop in the Yoshiwara area, open 10:00-24:00.
I picked the 130-minute course at ¥30,000.
The Moment She Walked In
The instant the door opened, I thought tonight might be a hit. I had no evidence, but first impressions are like that. Eighteen years of accumulated experience has made this instinct hard to miss by much.
She looked to be in her early thirties. Her makeup was neither too heavy nor too light, with a cleanliness that fit the Tokyo vibe. Down to her choice of clothes, she gave the impression of someone who knows herself. People like that usually know how to work, too.
After we stepped into the room, the way she lined up her shoes was tidy. I always watch for details like that. People with no wasted motion in their manner have no wasted motion in their work either. I made that call in the first two minutes, and it held up across all 130.
The way she handled her expressions was natural too. Not perpetually smiling, not stone-faced, but shifting with the situation. The naturalness of her laugh especially is a key indicator. After eighteen years I can tell a manufactured laugh from a real one. Tonight it was the real one.
Looking back on the 130 minutes, I could feel that my first impression of her looks and bearing had been right all the way to the end. The match between the phone description and the real thing, between first impression and actual service. That consistency is what makes Love Boat a shop I'll pick again. The breakdown of that ¥30,000 includes the quality of the woman herself. Meeting this level at a Tokyo health shop doesn't happen all that often.
Choosing a Men's Esthetic
It wasn't all that long ago that I started going to soaplands. I used to be all about delivery health (deriheru) and health shops, and only in the last few years did I genuinely find value in esthetic and aroma work.
I chose Love Boat because its name kept coming up as a highly rated esthetic shop in Tokyo.
On the Session
130-minute course, ¥30,000. The woman started with a consultation: where I was stiff, how firm I liked it. The quality of the experience changes enormously between shops that do this and shops that don't.
The session itself, the oil temperature control, the pressure adjustment, the rhythm of the build-up, all of it was better than passing.
Tokyo Esthetic Value
¥30,000 for 130 minutes of esthetic in Tokyo. How does that stack up against the going rate in the city? I felt there was a value here unique to this area. Yoshiwara area, open 10:00-24:00.
