I was walking a Tokyo side street when I caught the sign. Tokyo Joshidaisei Grand Prix — I'd never heard the name, but the clean look of the place and the way they handled the phone sold me. Sometimes these "happened to walk by" encounters turn into long relationships.
The 60-minute course, ¥14,000. It's a delivery health (deriheru) around the Ikebukuro North and West exits, open 6:00–14:00.
Late-night in Tokyo
The reason for using a delivery health late at night differs by the night. Tonight was "a sleepless night." Staring at the ceiling in my hotel room, I called Tokyo Joshidaisei Grand Prix before the date changed.
When I asked, "Is it okay even at this hour?", they answered calmly, "Our hours are 6:00–14:00, so yes." A shop whose desk tone doesn't shift even in the late-night band is proof the operation is in order. You don't get treated carelessly just because it's a midnight call — that seems obvious, but it actually isn't.
The girl arrived a little past midnight. I half expected her to be tired, but there was no sign of it. For the late-night slot, there are people suited to the late night. The Tokyo area. A shop running late hours in an area like this is operated with an understanding of the late-night clientele.
The late-night 60 minutes feels a little different from a daytime 60. No rushing. It moves slowly. She matched my pace. What I wanted on a sleepless night was right there. She understood the late-night air too, and didn't try to force the mood up. That "knowing the measure" was good.
When I finished the 60 minutes and stepped outside, the city of Tokyo was still moving. In a town where people are out even late at night, it's harder to feel lonely. Back at the hotel I lay down and fell asleep right away. ¥14,000 for 60 minutes — I think of the price as including the "sleepable night" she gave me.
On the "density" of time
Sixty minutes feels like a completely different length depending on its density. There's a 60 minutes that feels too fast, one that feels just right, and one that feels too short. Tokyo Joshidaisei Grand Prix was the third — meaning that when it ended, I thought "I wanted to stay a bit longer."
I mean that as a compliment.
Time with her
A Tokyo delivery health, ¥14,000. If I had to sum up the experience of spending 60 minutes at this price in one line, it comes down to "the time was dense."
More than the technical details, what kept going was "the sense of being in this place." Few girls can make that.
If I come again
Tokyo Joshidaisei Grand Prix has a nomination (requesting a specific girl) system — confirm by phone. Next time I want to repeat by nomination. Ikebukuro North and West exit area, 6:00–14:00.
