I got off the train in Kumamoto on the way home from work — it was early that evening. Kyushu's second city. A nightlife district near the Kamitori and Shimotori arcades. I called and booked an 80-minute course. ¥5,000. For Kumamoto health, that's a standard price band, I'd say.
Ribbon 1st covers the Ikebukuro North Exit and West Exit area. The 14:00-to-20:00 hours work even for a weekday after-work visit.
From arrival to checkout
Twenty minutes after I hung up, the bell rang. I opened the door and got a "Sorry to keep you waiting." A shade lower in tone than on the phone, and composed. You can tell from the first word — that's the voice of someone seasoned.
After I showed her in, she let her eyes move around the room without a word. The bathroom, the bed, the outlet. Taking stock silently. No wasted motion in how she set down her bag either, keeping the right distance while waiting for the next cue. The way she guided things — "Why don't you shower first" — was natural. A woman who suggests it before you have to say it knows the flow.
When I came back from checking the bathroom, the angle of the room lights had changed. She'd adjusted them without a word. Few people can show that kind of attention to detail without announcing it. Right there, I called tonight a winner.
The 80-minute course shifted in feel between the first and second halves. The first half is closer to mutual probing — she's reading my reactions, gauging what I'm after. The more finely she observes, the more the back half changes. Tonight she observed carefully. She remembered the moments I'd reacted to and circled back to them later. Not running a manual, but a sense of "moving for this particular person." Time that's been designed like that leaves a different afterglow once it's over.
Before she left, tidying up, she said, "Next time, please." A stock line, but the delivery wasn't stock — it came after a small pause, and that pause felt natural. While I put my shoes on, she didn't pad the silence with chatter. That quietness in the exit, too, marks her quality. Stepping out of the elevator into the street, the Kumamoto night air was cold. My head was quiet. Nothing about work, nothing about tomorrow's schedule surfaced. That's what I call a winning night. You don't run into a place like this in Kumamoto all that often.
Using a sexy-cabaret in Kumamoto
The sexy-cabaret (sekikyaba) genre is a fundamentally different experience from delivery health or hotel health (hoteheru). Kumamoto's soapland district has its own local culture and history. Kyushu's second city. A nightlife district near the Kamitori and Shimotori arcades.
This was my first time at Ribbon 1st. The ¥5,000 price is, I'd say, about average for a soapland in this area.
About the woman
When I pick a soapland woman, what I weigh is whether you can see "pride in the work." You can tell in the first five minutes whether someone's phoning it in. On that count, Ribbon 1st gave me peace of mind.
Careful, lots of checking in, deciding how to proceed while watching my state.
The Ribbon 1st wrap-up
Ikebukuro North/West Exit area, open 14:00 to 20:00. The 80-minutes-for-¥5,000 choice matched the value of the night.
