Tokyo on a weekend has a slightly different air than on a weekday. The Tokyo area. This Saturday night, I picked Opepe♪. How to use my once-a-week time for myself, the way I think about it has shifted with age.
60-minute course, ¥16,000. 10:00 to 5:00 the next morning. Gotanda Station area.
On the matter of 60 minutes
How time feels depends on the situation. A dull 60 minutes is long; a rich 60 minutes is short. Everyone experiences this, but after fifteen years in this business, the "density of time" becomes an important axis for grading.
The 60 minutes at Opepe♪ felt short. "You forget time is passing" is a worn-out phrase, but tonight was close to that state. At the end there was a sense of "I'd have liked to stay a little longer." That, I think, is the highest compliment.
High-density time has a common thread: the woman is "watching your state." Rather than running a manual, she moves while constantly judging what this person wants right now. The Opepe♪ woman could do this.
Across first, middle, and final thirds, the atmosphere shifted naturally. Rather than proceeding at a fixed tempo, it sped up and slowed down to match my reactions. This "living, breathing flow of time" only happens when high skill and deep experience come together. Even when I said nothing, she read my state and changed the development.
One of the bars I use, now 37, to judge "good use of money" is "do I have no regrets afterward." The 60 minutes I spent tonight for ¥16,000, no regrets at all. If anything, I think I should have come sooner. Nights where that feeling comes up are, even over fifteen years, not many.
Exploration in the name of a work trip
Coming to Tokyo on business is about the job, but by now "researching adult entertainment" has been added as one of the pleasures of coming to Tokyo. It's close to a sense of understanding each area's culture in my body.
You can check Opepe♪ here. Gotanda Station area, open 10:00 to 5:00 the next morning. 60-minute course for ¥16,000.
On regional differences
I'll say plainly what I felt from the 60 minutes spent in Tokyo. The "warmth" of the service ran higher than in central Tokyo. Unhurried, no rushing. That's a feeling hard to get in the urban core.
The "room to breathe" that a regional sexy cabaret has was more comfortable than I'd remembered.
On the next Tokyo trip too
If there's another trip, I plan to call Opepe♪. ¥16,000, 60 minutes. That's a value you can't measure by the logic of the city.

The combination of the city of Tokyo and Opepe♪ became, in my book, "the right answer."
