Chiba prefectural police arrested two men, one a 53-year-old company executive, on October 6, 2026. They are suspected of letting women use private rooms at Kamakura Goten, a soapland in Chiba City's Sakaecho district, to sell sex to customers between July and September. It is the second soapland raid in the Tokyo area in a week.

Tokyo police have arrested a 23-year-old Pakistani national on suspicion of robbing a woman in her 20s at knifepoint and sexually assaulting her in a Kabukicho hotel on September 2. Police say she was doing street sex work and he approached her as a customer. He denies the allegations, and police are looking into a similar complaint filed this month.
